Welcome to Scripture Review, a site for the purpose of the examination and study of the Holy Scriptures, by holding to the principles of interpretation set forth in the Scriptures themselves.
Scripture Review believes that among these principles, the following are at the forefront:
1. The Scriptures are given by inspiration of God, (meaning the record of the Book is inspired) see II Timothy 3:16. (SR believes that belief in the divine inspiration of Scripture is essential.)
2. That to properly engage in the study of the Scriptures, the principle of "rightly dividing the word of truth" must be observed as proclaimed in II Timothy 2:15. (The various components of right division will come in future discussions.)
3. The observance of dispensations and Dispensational Teaching must be engaged for a proper understanding of purpose, place and position by and for believers in the great plan of God. This is for all believers but in particular, truth for today's believers. (While it is true that all Scripture is for us and for our learning, it is equally true that it is not all about us and proper study will guide us to the knowledge of God's place for us in His great purpose of the ages.)
Essential to these dearly held principles and the underlying foundation of our witness is the most dearly held belief and that is, the faith and love to our Saviour, Lord and Head of the Church His Body, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is not only the greatest foundation but is the true and only foundation for the Christian life. It is He and the Father who sent Him, the Great God and Saviour, the One True God, that this study site will seek to honor and uphold. We welcome all who seek the truth as it is revealed in the Book of Books,, the Scriptures of truth.
