William (Bill) and Jennie Millett are former ordained Church of God ministers. They are alumni of Valley Forge Christian College and Northpoint Bible College. After having met at Valley Forge they married in 1961 and subsequent to studies at Northpoint went into ministry on Long Island, NY. They ministered throughout New York state and New England serving in a pastorate for a short time on Long Island and then were appointed as state evangelist in New York and also New England. Over a three year period they did mission work in Central America and the Caribbean. Through a series of events the Milletts moved to Dallas, TX in 1967 to serve on the teaching staff of Berean Bible School and after four years returned to New York. Mr. Millett eventually moved into the secular world and started a thirty five year career in Cable and Satellite Television. Mrs. Millett herself also worked in communications via the Telephone Industry for twenty five years. They returned to Texas in 1978 (where most of their work in communications was done) where they still reside today.
All during the years in communications they continued to minister by way of bible study fellowships in New York, Texas, Arizona and Indiana. Mr. Millett continues to speak by invitation at annual conferences and at church and bible study groups throughout the USA. They are part of the Grace Bible Church family in Fort Worth, TX. A key element to their beliefs and approach to scriptural understanding and study came while serving at Berean when they were introduced to Dispensational Truth and in particular "the Dispensation of the Mystery" and the Apostle Paul's writings and ministry with particular focus on his " Prison Epistles." They believe that it is essential for proper biblical understanding to observe the rules of interpretation provided in the Scriptures themselves i.e., observing the various dispensations put in effect and revealed by God, also the principal of "Right Division" (2nd Timothy 2:15) and to "Try the things that Differ" (Philippians 1:10- literal rendering.) Above all one should (if truly interested in the truth) believe the Scriptures to be given by inspiration of God (2nd Timothy 3:16) and accepted as the final and only authority for understanding the purposes of God.
May we heed the wise words of Miles Coverdale: "It will greatly help you to understand Scripture if you mark not only what is spoken, or written, but of whom, and to whom, with what words, at what time, where, to what intent, with what circumstances, considering what goes before, and what follows. (The year 1535.)
Bill and Jennie are now retired but active in Christian witness to the Scriptures and of the Lord Jesus Christ through speaking opportunities and writing. They have two children, Stephen (wife Annie) and Cheryl (husband Brad) and six grandchildren all of whom are active in Christian service.
